INTENDED USE

PRINCIPLE
The Strep A Antigen Rapid Test consists of one test strip, which can be observed in the window of the rapid test device. The strip is based on the sandwich - method immunochromatographic assay.
SPECIMEN PREPARATION
1. Specimens collection: Insert the sterile swab into the deep throat. Gently scrape the secretions around the wall of pharynx and tonsil.
2. Specimens Preparation:
TEST PROCEDURE
Bring tests, specimens, reagents and/or controls to room temperature (10 - 30°C) before use.
1. Remove the test from its sealed pouch, and place it on a clean, level surface.
2. Reverse the assay buffer tube, extrude 3 drops (about 80μL) of the prepared specimen into the specimen well (S) of the test device and start the timer.
3. Wait for the colored band(s) to appear. The result should be read at 10 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 15 minutes.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
POSITIVE: Two colored bands appear on the membrane. One band appears in the control region (C) and another band appears in the test region (T).
NEGATIVE: Only one colored band appears, in the control region (C). No apparent colored band appears in the test region (T).
INVALID: Control band fails to appear.
